StoryTiles starts with little girl Marga’s love for crafts, and fantasies she could dive in through doing crafts in her childhood. Growing up she studied at the Amsterdam 'School of Arts', and received a box of beautiful Old Dutch tiles from 1600 from her grandmother. She breathed new life into them with her own designs, turning the little girl’s dream into reality, creating stories on the tiles.

Since 2013, new collections have been released in spring and autumn from the studio on the IJ in Amsterdam. Ceramic tiles’ history started in the 16th century, and StoryTiles follows the traditional way of baking, by hand and in traditional ovens, to preserve the timeless beauty of the craftmanship. Due to the high baking temperatures, the tiles are heat and water resistant and therefore suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. StoryTiles are supplied with a hanging system and are available in 3 sizes.

Being the head designer, Marga collaborates with well-known designers and museums, and sells to more than 300 stores in 20 different countries, sharing those stories in her head with the world.
