The two founders of TENT, Ryosaku Aoki and Masayuki Haruta, accumulated experience in major corporations and design firms before establishing the brand. With the desire of breaking away from rigid conventions, they founded TENT with a design philosophy inspired by the flexibility and openness of a tent. TENT peruses designs that are simple, flexible and pleasant to use, making daily life of user more enjoyable and convenient. TENT has expanded into various fields such as stationery, kitchenware and furniture, and has collaborated with brands like Zojirushi and Karimoku, creating works that combine aesthetics with practicality. In recent years, TENT has also established the exhibition and retail space “TENT no TEMPO”. In TEMPO, each product is accompanied with the designer’s note, allowing users to understand the ideas behind every design.
